Congress Location
The Congress will take place at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Broward County Convention Center located at 1950 Eisenhower Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 33316.  The Convention Center is nestled on the Intracoastal Waterway and is surrounded by all that South Florida has to offer.
The Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport is only a few miles from the Convention Center and the heart of Greater Fort Lauderdale.  It is a short walk from the Hilton Ford Lauderdale Marina (headquarters hotel) to the Convention Center.

Banking and Foreign Exchange
The official currency in the United States is US Dollars. The US Dollar ($) is divided into 100 cents; notes are in denominations of $100, 50, 20, 10, 5, and 1. Banking hours in the United States are generally Monday through Friday, 09:00 – 17:00. A few banks are open on Saturdays as well. You can withdraw money from ATM bank machines using your credit card and make purchases in stores and restaurants. Signs display accepted credit cards or you can ask the retailer. Check with your local financial institution to verify if you are able to use your home bank card or credit card prior to travel.

Fort Lauderdale features a tropical climate with little seasonal variation in temperature.  The average high and low temperatures in May are 85 degrees Fahrenheit and 71 degrees Fahrenheit respectively.  Most summer days in Fort Lauderdale bring afternoon or evening thunderstorms.

Voltage in the United States is 120 voltage (60 HZ). Outlet sockets use either a Type A plug which is a class II ungrounded plug with two flat parallel prongs, or a Type B plug which is a class I plug with two flat parallel prongs and a grounding pin.
The official language of the Congress is English. Translation service will not be provided.
Name Badge
The CYTO badge must be worn at all times for admission to the scientific sessions, exhibits, and social events.
Smoking Policy
Florida’s enclosed workplaces, including restaurants and public places, are smoke free.  Bars are exempt from the smoke free requirements.
Sales tax in Fort Lauderdale is 6.0%.
Restaurant prices do not generally include a service charge, unless dining with a large group. It is customary to leave a tip of 15-20%.
Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL)

Miami International Airport

Rental Cars
The Rental Car Center offers 12 rental car companies in one building next to Terminal 1.  For real-time rental care rate listings, check Rentacarnow.com.  Rental customers no longer need to travel-off site to pick up or drop off their rental cars.  For customer convenience, an ATM is located on the second level of the Rental Car Center.
Public Transportation
Broward County Transit
Transit is available through Route 1 of the Broward County Transit buses, located at the Rental Car Center, Stop 7.  For transit fare types and other information, please click hereClick here for the Route 1 schedule.
Tri-Rail (commuter train) provides service to Broward County.  There are free shuttle buses from the FLL terminals to the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport station at Dania Beach.  The station is just a few miles from the airport and a short ride on the shuttle bus.  For more information visit http://www.tri-rail.com/.
Sun Trolley
Sun Trolley provides free trolley service to a Welcome Center in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
At the Headquarters Hotel
Bicycle rentals are available at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina in addition to the Water Taxi that stops at the hotel.  There is also a beach shuttle that takes guests to the very best nearby beaches.

Water Taxi
The Water Taxi is much like a "trolley-on-the-water."  You may board the Water Taxi at any of its 14 stops and purchase your all day riding ticket onboard.  There are multiple routes to choose from that provide access to beaches, shopping, dining, in addition to great views!  With your Water Taxi ticket, you may also receive discounts at over 25 restaurants along the way.  Click here to visit the Fort Lauderdale Water Taxi website.
