President's Award for Excellence

The President's Award for Excellence will be awarded for an outstanding presentation by a post-doctoral scientist.  All abstract submitters who have received a doctoral degree within the last 5 years are eligible.  Finalists will be notified prior to the CYTO Congress and may be expected to make a formal presentation of their work in a special session of the Congress.  The winner will be recognized at the Award Ceremony and presented with a certificate and $1,000 USD.

Exceptional Student Award

The Exceptional Student Award will be awarded for an outstanding presentation by a pre-doctoral student.  All abstract submitters who are enrolled in a pre-doctoral graduate program are eligible.  Finalists will be notified prior to the CYTO Congress and may be expected to make a formal presentation of their work in a special session of the Congress.  The winner will be recognized at the Award Ceremony and presented with a certificate and $1,000 USD.

Outstanding Poster Awards

All poster presenters who are students or post-doctoral researchers (who have received their doctorate within the last five years) are eligible.  The posters will be judged at the time they are scheduled to be presented by the author.  Those posters not attended at their scheduled time may not be considered.  Poster winners will be recognized at the Award Ceremony and presented with a monetary prize.

A formal application is not required for the Exceptional Student Award, the Presidential Award for Excellence, or the Outstanding Poster Award.  All eligible abstracts will be considered for these awards.

SRL Junior Staff Travel Award

ISAC has established a fund for Shared Resource Lab (SRL) or core staff whose abstracts have been approved for either oral or poster presentation at the CYTO 2017 Congress and who require financial aid to attend.  Interested SRL staff should complete the online award application available on the abstract submission site.  Junior staff in Shared Resource Labs (SRL) with five or less years of SRL staff experience and without management responsibilities are eligible to apply for this award. An SRL junior staff member may receive this award up to three times.
 
The value of the SRL Junior Staff Travel Award is at the discretion of ISAC’s Membership Services Committee and SRL Services Oversight Committee but typically will not exceed $1,000 USD.  It is the responsibility of each approved applicant to cover any additional cost for attendance at the CYTO Congress not covered by this travel award.  The option to submit a SRL Junior Staff Travel Award Application is provided on the abstract submission site.

Please note:

  • Abstract submission is mandatory for the SRL Junior Staff Travel Award.
  • Curriculum vitae or Resume and a letter of reference from a SRL director/manager (who must be an ISAC member) must be included with the SRL Junior Staff Travel Award Application.
  • The required application material, including your abstract (whether it's for an oral, poster, or multimedia presentation) must be submitted on the abstract submission site by the abstract submission deadline.
  • Notification to award applicants will be sent in April 2017.

Student Travel Award

ISAC has established a fund for students whose abstracts have been approved for either oral or poster presentation at the CYTO Congress and who require financial aid to attend.  Interested students should complete the online award application available on the abstract submission site.  ISAC members (either active or registering for the CYTO Congress) enrolled in a full time undergraduate or graduate program are eligible (i.e. leading to a doctoral degree, M.D., Ph.D., D.V.M., D.O., D.D.S. or equivalent and students pursuing a graduate degree, such as a Masters in science).  The value of the student travel award is at the discretion of the Membership Services Committee but will not exceed $1,000 USD.  It is the responsibility of each approved applicant to cover any additional cost for attendance at the CYTO Congress not covered by this travel award.
