Awards The ISAC Membership Services Committee will administer the Awards listed below for the Conference. Abstract submission is mandatory for all awards. The option to complete the Award Application will be presented during the abstract submission process. If you withdraw your abstract, your Award Application will be withdrawn as well. Award application and abstract must be submitted by December 4, 2009, 23:59 U.S. Eastern Standard Time. Student Travel Fund ISAC has established a fund for students whose abstracts have been approved for either oral or poster presentation at the CYTO Conference and who require financial aid to attend. Interested students should complete the online award application that will be available on the abstract submission site. ISAC members (either active or registering for the CYTO Conference) enrolled in a program leading to a doctoral degree, M.D., Ph.D., D.V.M., D.O., D.D.S. or equivalent are eligible. The value of the student travel award is at the discretion of the Membership Services Committee but will not exceed $1,000. The Committee reserves the right to waive the CYTO Conference registration fee as part of the award. Students who are not members of ISAC and who are successful in their travel award application will automatically become members of ISAC but will not receive the journal Cytometry. It is the responsibility of each approved applicant to cover any additional cost for attendance at the CYTO Conference not covered by this travel award. Exceptional Student Award The Exceptional Student Award will be presented to one or more applicants in recognition of their continuing outstanding performance in the field of analytical cytology. Candidates shall be enrolled in a doctoral program at a legitimate college or university. ISAC members (either active or registering for the CYTO Conference) enrolled in a program leading to a doctoral degree, M.D., Ph.D., D.V.M., D.O., D.D.S. or equivalent are eligible. Finalists will be notified prior to the CYTO Conference and will be expected to make a formal presentation of their work at the Awards Competition Plenary Session. The award will be presented during the CYTO Conference and includes a cash award of $1,000 USD. President’s Award for Excellence The President’s Award for Excellence will be presented to a single applicant. Candidates shall be enrolled in a doctoral program at a legitimate college or university or have received a doctoral level degree no more than five years previously. ISAC members (either active or registering for the CYTO Conference) enrolled in a program leading to a doctoral degree, M.D., Ph.D., D.V.M., D.O., D.D.S. or equivalent are eligible. Finalists will be notified prior to the CYTO Conference and will be expected to make a formal presentation of their work at the Awards Competition Plenary Session. The award will be presented during the CYTO Conference and includes a cash award of $1,000 USD. Outstanding Poster Awards Outstanding Poster Awards will be presented to up to 10 applicants. Students and Post Doctoral researchers who have received their doctorate within the last three years are eligible. The posters will be judged at the time they are scheduled to be attended by the author. Those posters not attended at their scheduled time will not be included. The awards will be presented during the CYTO Conference and include a cash award of $100 USD.
