Student Information
Registration and Congress activitiesSpecial reduced fees are available to students for the CYTO Conference. The registration site is open. The highly successful Introductory Flow Cytometry and Image Cytometry pre-congress courses will be offered again in 2010. The courses will begin mid-day Thursday, May 6, 2010 and will continue for a full day Friday, May 7, 2010. These courses are intended for beginning and intermediate users and are excellent opportunities to learn from experts in the field. To view the course descriptions, please click here. For a modest cost they provide an amazing educational value. Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Concurrent tutorial sessions are scheduled for Saturday, May 8, 2010. These one and a half hour tutorials are offered on a variety of subjects and are presented by the top scientists in their fields. The tutorials are very affordable and are great resources for students who can usually accommodate them as part of their congress allowances. For a list of Tutorial session topics, please click here. Funding
ISAC has set aside funds specifically to help students attend the CYTO conference, called “Student Travel Awards”. In order to apply for these funds, you have to have an abstract accepted for poster or oral presentation AND you must be in need of financial support. Your application for the Travel Award must accompany your abstract submission. The option to submit an Award Application will be presented during your abstract submission. The deadline to submit your abstract and award application by December 4, 2009. Awards

AccommodationsDiscounted group rates are available to student attendees at the Roosevelt Hotel, Red Lion Hotel, and the
CrownePlaza. All selected hotels are within walking distance (1 to 3 blocks) from the CYTO Conference and Introductory Course venues. Reservations cannot be made directly with the hotels and must be made through the Seattle Convention and Visitor’s Housing Bureau in order to receive our discounted rate. Reservations are accepted on a first come first serve basis and room availability.
