Call for Papers, Tutorial and Workshops CYTO 2011 the XXVI Congress of the International Society for Advancement of Cytometry (ISAC) will be held on May 21-25, 2011 in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. The Organizing Committee calls upon all interested scientists to submit high quality papers for oral presentation at the Congress and publication in the Congress issue of CYTOMETRY Part A. CYTOMETRY Part A is the official journal of ISAC and is widely available in both print and electronic forms. It is indexed by PUBMED and the ISI Web of Knowledge. Accepted papers will be scheduled for oral presentation at CYTO, and the corresponding author will receive a special gift from ISAC! What to do: - Submit a manuscript (previously unpublished original research or review paper) to Cytometry Part A through the journal submission site (http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/cytometry/cyto) by December 1st.
- Be sure to indicate in the cover letter that you are submitting in response to this call for Congress papers.
- Submitted papers will be reviewed on a fast track, and the decision letter will be sent by December 15. Papers accepted without revision or accepted with minor revisions will be invited for oral presentation at the congress. (Papers needing major revisions will not be considered for oral presentation or inclusion in the Proceedings issue, but may be processed as regular publications if desired.)
- If accepted, the final revised version must be submitted within one month of receiving the decision letter.
- The accepted papers will be published in the May 2011 issue of Cytometry Part A guest edited by Paul Smith and Andreas Radbruch.

The tutorials are quite popular and the CYTO Organizing Committee seeks your input to help make the tutorials at CYTO 2011 better than ever. The ISAC membership has a great deal of talent and experience and the CYTO Committee welcomes proposals from individuals interested in presenting tutorials. Scientific Tutorials will be held on Saturday May 21, 2011 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Maryland. The Tutorial Sessions will be ninety minutes, and are intended to be didactic presentations of a cytometry-related topic supported by handouts, protocols, and demonstrations as appropriate. A traditional research seminar is not appropriate for a Scientific Tutorial. Proposals should include the following information: Instructors (including short bio and CVs) Tutorial Title Experience level of students (beginner, intermediate, advanced) Detailed syllabus/agenda Examples of handout material Examples of electronic material Examples of bibliography for further reading Send proposals to: cyto@isac-net.org. The CYTO Organizing and Program Committees will review proposals and proposals will be chosen based on the quality, expected interest, and overall balance of the CYTO program. The Workshops are an opportunity to discuss cutting edge developments in an interactive forum, and are always popular. To help develop an exciting set of workshops, the CYTO Organizing Committee will consider proposals for workshops at CYTO 2011. Proposals should include the following information: Facilitator (including short bio and CV) Workshop Title Intended audience Anticipated topics Agenda Facilitators are expected to present the talk and moderate the session. Other talks within the session will be selected by the Organizing and Program Committees together with the Facilitators from the pool of abstracts submitted for consideration as an oral presentation in a workshop.
